desireenaDesireena Almoradie (Producer/Director/Writer) was born in Manila and has lived in NYC since the age of 11. In her works, she explores collective history and the representation of marginalized communities specifically pertaining to LGBT and people of color. She studied film and interactive media at NYU. She was nominated for an Emmy and won a GLAAD Media Award for her work on In the Life ​(PBS). She co-founded the Diverse Filmmaker’s Alliance (DFA), a collective of award-winning filmmakers from all backgrounds working to diversify the filmmaking landscape.

Nils Bökamp (Producer) studied film in New York and Berlin. He works as a producer, writer and director for fiction and documentaries. He is one of the managing directors of Bökamp & Kriegsheim GmbH located in Berlin and Cologne. His films have been screened at Cannes, Berlinale and many other international film festivals.

LilyHenderson_smallLily Henderson (Director of Photography – U.S.) works as a director, editor and cinematographer out of Brooklyn, NY. Her cinematography work has shown on HBO, Sundance Channel, History Channel, MTV, and at MoMa. She was a two-year resident and curator for UnionDocs, Inc and is a member of the Brooklyn Filmmaker’s Collective.

Alex Fuchs (Director of Photography – Germany) lives in Berlin. Since 2003 he works as a freelance DP, editor, photographer and lecturer for several national and international productions and companies including “Freiheit oder Sicherheit – Der Anti-Terrorkampf und seine Folgen” (DP/editor for arte, dir: Marita Neher & Nils Bökamp), “Kabul Dream Factory” (editor, dir: Sebastian Heidinger), “Street Art – The Ephemeral Revolution” (editor, dir: Benjamin Cantu & Anne Bürger), East West – Sex & Politics (editor, dir: Jochen Hick), Drifter (editor, dir: Sebastian Heidinger) and the feature film “You & I”  (DP/editor, dir: Nils Bökamp). Lately he shot additional footage for Dylan Williams’ “The Borneo Case.”

Nyneve Laura Minnear (Consulting Edtor) Nyneve’s recent film (T)ERROR (editor, 84mins), won a Special Jury Award at Sundance 2015, a Grand Jury Award at Full Frame 2015 and in 2014 Nyneve attended the Sundance Documentary Edit Story Lab as a fellow. “GIRL WITH BLACK BALLOONS” (Editor, Writer, Co-Producer, 59mins) was chosen “Best of Fest” at the Edinburgh Film Festival 2010 and won a Grand Jury Prize at DOCNYC2011. “THE LULU SESSIONS” (Editor, Writer, Co-Producer, 84mins), has screened at over 20 festivals worldwide, winning six Best Documentary awards. In 2011, Nyneve was named one of “21 Leaders for the 21st Century” by Women’s eNews for her work at Dan Rather Reports.

James Jones (Editor) is a filmmaker who has worked on documentaries and non-fiction TV, everything from Bobby Flay to Bruce Lee.  His talents extend into fiction where a short film he produced is currently winning awards on the festival circuit.  His production talents run across the board: shooting, editing, composing music.  His work has aired on the History Channel, Biography, Discovery, CBS and MTV.

BewerbungsfotoAnnett Zupke (Restorative Justice Facilitator) is a CNVC certified trainer for nonviolent communication based in Berlin, Germany. In trainings, mediations and one-on-one sessions, she supports individuals, couples and teams to move through conflict and communication with more compassion and care. Since 2009, she has been learning and exploring different approaches used in restorative justice to accompany people on their journeys to a deeper sense of peace around the consequences of violent conflict. She served as an empathy & restorative justice consultant to the award-winning documentary Beyond Punishment, the first German film dedicated to exploring restorative justice.
